Battle of flowers
Terms and Conditions 

  1. All competitors to report to the committee base (cabin next to the main arena entrance) in the assembly area between 11am and 12pm for registration and collection of entry numbers.
     

  2. Children’s fancy dress classes may be entered on the day.
     

  3. The card displaying the class letter and number (provided at registration) is to be displayed on the left hand side of the exhibit, so it can be seen by the arena crowd.
     

  4. Natural flower exhibits are allowed a maximum of 15% artificial flowers/material. Hares tails are classed as artificial.  All exhibits must satisfy the committee in this respect and meet the classification and definition of their entered class.
     

  5. The committee reserves the right to re-class any exhibit which does not meet the classification and definition of their entered class.
     

  6. The Evaluation Panel will inspect all exhibits in the assembly arena between 1-2pm. All exhibitors are requested to assist by having exhibits as complete as possible.  If any exhibitor is having difficulty achieving this please inform the battle co-ordinator.
     

  7. An exhibit may not enter more than one class. Exhibitors who are part of a float may enter the appropriate fancy dress class.
     

  8. The parade will commence at 2.30pm. The order of this is in the programme.
     

  9. Fancy dress classes will be judged by a panel during one walk around the arena.
     

  10. All points of issue that are not provided for in the rules will be decided by the battle sub-committee acting on behalf of the NAHS committee.
     

  11. ALL EXHIBITS MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE PARK BY 12 NOON ON FRIDAY. The NAHS also reserve the right to withhold payment of £50 if an exhibitor fails to ensure that their working point in the assembly area has not been left clear of litter and general debris to the satisfaction of the committee.
     

  12. The battle co-ordinator must be informed of floats bearing a company or trade name including sponsor(s) name(s).
     

  13. The class prizes are decided by the voting public (audience) via voting slips provided when seat tickets are bought.
